For this month’s BOGO, we’re here to let you know how to strengthen deep neck muscles while performing abdominal exercises. So-strengthen your core and get your neck muscles strong FOR FREE! Neck muscles, you may ask? Who the heck cares about neck muscles? Although you may not see many people walking around flexing these muscles, please consider they are very important and there’s clinical evidence that correlates headaches and neck pain to weakness in deep neck flexors. Headaches and neck pain get BETTER FASTER and stay BETTER LONGER when your exercises include strengthening the muscles in the front of your neck. Steps to Strengthening Neck Muscles: 1. While you’re working on your six pack, make sure you keep your arms across your chest. 2. Tuck your chin toward your chest and keep your eyes on your chest.
3. Go ahead and do your crunches while maintaining this neck position. 4. Don’t let your chin jut up. Remember you only
have to curl up until your shoulder blades lift off the floor. You should NOT experience any pain. If you do have pain…da…DO NOT CONTINUE TO SELF INFLICT PAIN!
